EGYPT: Euro-Med conference on textiles and clothing

A Euro-Mediterranean conference on research and innovation in textiles and clothing is being organised by the_European_Commission next month in Cairo, Egypt.
The aim of the event, which takes place on 6-7 September, is to share details of the latest research, trends and industrial developments in the sector throughout the Euro-Med region - and hopefully establish co-operation between EU and Mediterranean countries working in these fields.
Overseen by the Enterprise and Industry Directorate General with the support of the Commission's Europe-Aid Co-operation Office, the event will focus on textile and clothing SMEs, associations, researchers and technical centres in EU and Mediterranean countries.
Papers will include technical textiles, and speakers will discuss Euratex initiatives, the approach to research and innovation in Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, and the experiences of companies in France, Portugal, Turkey, Egypt and Tunisia.
